How often does FTPull check for new files?
FTPull polls your FTP server at a configurable interval. as often as every 15 seconds. During a match you'd typically set it to 30 seconds so new shots arrive on your desk within half a minute of being uploaded from the pitch.
What if I miss files while my Mac is asleep?
FTPull tracks which files it has already downloaded. When your Mac wakes up, it syncs any files that arrived during the sleep: nothing is missed, everything lands in order.
Can I receive photos from multiple photographers at once?
Yes. FTPull supports multiple server connections simultaneously. Each connection can have its own local destination folder, so photos from different photographers land in separate organised folders automatically.
Does it work with Getty, Reuters and AP servers?
Yes. FTPull works with any FTP, SFTP or FTPS server. including the agency transfer servers used by Getty Images, Reuters, AP and others. Just enter the credentials your agency provided.
Is it different from FTPush?
Yes. FTPush is for photographers sending photos out. it detects new files in a local folder and uploads them to a remote server. FTPull is for editors on the receiving end. it monitors a remote server and downloads new files to your Mac. Together they form FTPSuite.
